Dairy Farming and Forestry are the mainstay of the economy of South Waikato District of New Zealand. So to start with these are the main themes for the Huhu Blog.
At one level this blog is about freedom of speech. We think it needs to be maintained and enhanced (along with transparency and community involvement) when determining the future of the region
And this blog is about the sharing of ideas – especially new ideas. After all, if we keep on doing the same old thing we are going to get the same results!
So, if you are passionate about the South Waikato and you have a particular area of interest that you want to discuss, get in touch with us via e-mail. We can arrange a login and password so you can create and manage conversations about your special topic(s).
And you can publish using a pseudonym so you can speak freely – without being censured or fired for your personal opinions. (Something that happens when changes threaten the established order.)
So… bottom line… as long as you don’t break the law, use foul language, or push a racist agenda, the floor (or blog in this case) is yours. Think of this blog as your electronic soapbox.
